About Us

The Association of Graduates from Tsinghua University Malaysia (AGTHUM) was officially established on September 26, 2014, representing a significant milestone as a non-governmental, non-profit organization approved by the Registry of Societies (ROS) of Malaysia.

On February 27, 2015, a collaborative effort involving key stakeholders such as the Tsinghua Alumni Association, Tsinghua Education Foundation, APAC Tsinghua CEO CCI, and dedicated Malaysian alumni and students led to the formal inauguration of the association. The symbolic transfer of the school flag from Vice President Jiang Shengyao marked the commencement of our journey. In 2018, in partnership with TusStar (Malaysia), we established an alumni activity center in Petaling Jaya to further fortify our presence.

AGTHUM plays a pivotal role in fostering China-Malaysian relations by facilitating the transfer of Tsinghua's cutting-edge knowledge and technology to Malaysia. Furthermore, we actively support the aspirations of more Malaysians seeking educational opportunities at Tsinghua.

Our short-term objectives include prioritizing member engagement, providing support for alumni residing in Malaysia, and expanding our impact in the country through strategic collaborations. We envision a vibrant and dynamic future for the association, emphasizing the active involvement and development of our members.

Beyond administrative pursuits, our association hosts a spectrum of activities such as annual tourism events, badminton competitions, academic lectures, entrepreneurship forums, exchanges between new and seasoned students, and farewell parties for graduates. These activities are not just about bringing people together but also about cherishing the traditions and essence of Tsinghua University.

As we move forward, AGTHUM is dedicated to shining brightly, akin to the stars. Together, we are crafting a story of excellence and success for the future.
