  • Is there a method for admission without taking the interview, exam or through recommendation?
    The only application method is through the official website. When filling out the form, you need to provide information of two recommenders. The recommenders will receive a link and must personally submit their recommendation letters. You can request letters from the principal and teachers. Some high schools may have reserved recommendation slots, and as they are familiar with the application process, it's advisable to inquire directly with the respective schools. The final decision is at the discretion of Tsinghua University. Recommendation letters are not the sole consideration; academic capabilities, extracurricular activities, and interview performance are equally crucial. Our association does not provide recommendation letters. Starting from 2022, the Dong Zong also does not provide recommendation letters. Beware of agents claiming guaranteed admissions; applying through them does not enhance your chances. The only reliable method is a personal application on the official website.
  • Does the AGTHUM provide recommendations for students to be exempt from exams or recommendation letters?
    No, we do not assist with exam exemptions or recommendation letter requests for students.
  • Does the Dong Zong provide recommendations for students to be exempt from exams or recommendation letters?
    No, Dong Zong discontinued providing recommendations since 2022. For future updates, please refer to Dong Zong's official website.
  • Can agents guaranteeing admission be trusted?
    Beware of agents claiming guaranteed admissions; applying through them does not enhance your chances. The only reliable method is a personal application on the official website.
  • How much is the tuition fees?
    Undergraduate Program ¥800, Admission Fees (Non Refundable) ¥30,000 per year, Science and Engineering ¥26,000 per year, Liberal Arts, Law, Social Science, Economics, Finance ¥40,000 per year, Arts ¥40,000 - ¥70,000 per year, Clinical Medicine ¥800 per year, Insurance Please check the official website.   • When can I apply?
    Undergraduate The undergraduate application period runs from Aug to Jan. Check the official website for details. Admission is processed in three batches: 1st Batch: Register from late Aug to mid-Oct, results announced in late Dec. 2nd Batch: Register from mid-Oct to the end of Nov, results announced in late Feb. 3rd Batch: Register from early Dec to mid-Jan, results announced in late Mar. Graduate From Sep to Feb of the following year, but the deadlines and application batches vary among different departments. Please check the official website for details.
  • Can I use UEC, STPM, A-Level or SPM results to apply the undergraduate program?
    Tsinghua currently accept UEC, STPM, and A-Level certificates. SPM is not accepted at the moment, and information regarding other certificates is not available at this time.
  • How can I apply if I haven't taken the UEC or the STPM by August?
    You can submit your preliminary exam or school exam results first, and later supplement them with the UEC or STPM results.
  • Is it necessary to take the HSK exam?

  • Do I need to take an English test?
    Individuals who have passed any of the following English proficiency tests are exempt from taking another English exam: UEC STPM TOEFL IELTS
  • Are there entrance exams?
    In the past, some students were required to take entrance exams, but there seems to be a change in recent years. Whether there will be entrance exams in the future is currently uncertain, especially for the August 2023 admission season. Specific details on the format are unavailable. Admission methods vary, including direct admission, interviews, and a comprehensive assessment using both exams and interviews. School of Arts applicants will undergo a written test. Upon application, detailed next steps will be communicated through the online system and email.
  • Are there interviews?
    Possibly. Admission involves three main methods: direct admission, interviews, and a comprehensive assessment based on exams and interviews. Arts applicants undergo a drawing test. In recent years, interviews have taken place in Kuala Lumpur, and interview details are sent via email or the online system. The interview process, subject to annual variations, has seen both online and in-person formats. Individual or group sessions are possible, with individual interviews involving discussions with multiple examiners and group interviews featuring 5 to 10 students in a debate. Interview formats differ, sometimes with a pre-assigned topic for a 15 to 20-minute preparation, followed by a 10-minute interview. Individual interviews emphasize presentation skills, while group sessions require highlighting personal strengths. Due to a high elimination rate, confident and fluent communication is crucial.
  • Does the school have specific admission criteria?
    Tsinghua University doesn't specify admission criteria for Malaysian students, but successful candidates typically have: Strong Academic Performance: Maintaining a good academic level, such as scoring 5A in the UEC exam, especially in key subjects. Diverse Extracurricular Involvement: Participation in various activities, including achievements, talents, sports excellence, and leadership roles.
