On November 18, 2023, the 25th Tsinghua University Alumni Conference and the 110th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony of the Establishment of Tsinghua Alumni Association were successfully held in Guangzhou. Over 200 alumni representatives from across the globe gathered to deliberate on alumni work and share insights into the development of their beloved alma mater. In attendance were Wang Xiqin, the President of Tsinghua University and the President of Tsinghua Alumni Association, along with other prominent university officials.
During the afternoon session, the conference featured three sub-forums with the themes "Collaboration, Dream Building, and Empowering Development in the Greater Bay Area," "Unity, Multi-dimensional Communication, and Telling Tsinghua Alumni Stories," and "Adhering to the Original, Innovating for the Future, and Enhancing the Quality of Alumni Work." Alumni actively participated in profound discussions, offering valuable perspectives on contributing to local development, advancing alumni work, and promoting the rich culture of Tsinghua alumni.
In the evening, Wang Xiqin engaged in a dialogue with over 20 alumni representatives from local universities, public sectors, and key enterprises, attentively listening to their inspiring stories of dedication and personal growth.
Simultaneously, a jogging activity took place in the early morning, where Wang Xiqin, Ji Junmin, and over a hundred alumni ran together, embodying the cherished tradition of "There is no Tsinghua without sports." The day concluded with the award ceremony for the 2023 Tsinghua Alumni "John Mo Cup" Sports Meeting, recognizing the achievements of winners in various categories.
